When Hope becomes Reality - Caritas AIDS Respite House for Trinidad in construction now underway
Through the continuous hard work of dedicated volunteers, and the generous support of community organizations and corporations, Caritas House will provide support to those with HIV/AIDS and their families in Trinidad.
Caritas House will be a respite house located at Mount St. Benedict, expected to near completion in late 2009. The project was inspired after the Caritas AIDS Ministry non-governmental organization was founded in 1989 in Trinidad in what started as a small but determined group of volunteers with hope and vision.

News Update: Michelle Jules, Advisor of the JB Fernandes Memorial Trust / Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors conducted a site visit and supports the work and efforts of Caritas. Also, temporary facilities have been established on the site at Mount Saint Benedict and are operational while the site is cleared for construction.
